What is this Indicator?
This indicator shows the percentage of adults who answered that they are satisfied or very satisfied when asked: "In general, how satisfied are you with your life?"
Why this is important: 
Subjective life satisfaction is a measure of an individual's perceived level of well being (quality of life) and happiness. Subjective well being, as measured by the Satisfaction With Life Index, correlates most strongly with health, wealth and access to basic education.
Technical Note:  The distribution is based on data from 24 Maryland counties and county equivalents.
