What is this Indicator?
This indicator shows the percentage of adults who stated that they experienced two or fewer days of poor mental health in the past month.
Why this is important:
Psychological distress can affect all aspects of our lives. It is important to recognize and address potential psychological issues before they become critical. Occasional days of feeling "down" or emotional are normal, but persistent mental or emotional health problems should be evaluated and treated by a qualified professional.
Technical Note:  The distribution is based on data from 24 Maryland counties and county equivalents.
