Ranking Effective Practice
Description EARN (Earned Assets Resource Network) helps low-wage workers by matching their savings and assisting them with asset-building in order to break the cycle of violence. EARN is involved with creating and evaluating asset-building practices, as well as promoting local and state initiatives and policies that help low-wage workers.
Goal / Mission EARN's mission is to empower low-wage workers to build assets in order to create long-term financial stability.
Results / Accomplishments Over 2,300 matched accounts have been opened to date, with total personal savings before matching of $3 million.

EARN was named a 2005 Social Capitalist of the Year by Fast Company/Monitor Group, and a top-ten finalist for the Nonprofit Innovation Award by Amazon.com.
