| Description |
CareNet is a discount health program for the working uninsured and underinsured who can not afford regular health insurance because of income, health status, age, or residency status. Participants receive comprehensive primary care at community health centers, including family, pediatric, maternal and infant care, internal medicine, dental and vision care, radiology, pharmacy and lab services, behavioral health, and substance abuse programs. Community health centers also provide disease prevention initiatives and outreach. CareNet is not health insurance, but rather offers medical services to members at a discounted rate. Membership for an individual is $25 a month, and $30 for an individual plus children plan. Members show their card to select providers at the time of service to receive a discount. |
