Ranking Good Idea
Description The goal of Vaccinate Before You Graduate (VBYG) is to ensure that all Rhode Island high school students have a chance to be fully immunized before they graduate. VBYG works directly with schools systems thereby reaching the majority of youth while they are still enrolled in school and eligible for free vaccine through the state's Vaccine for Children's Program. The program allows 12th grade to receive new vaccines and "catch-up" on vaccines they may have missed.

In order to participant in the program, parents or students who are 18 or older register online to schedule an appointment. The Wellness Company, an organization in Rhode Island, administers vaccinations for students and coordinates all school clinics.
Goal / Mission The goal of Vaccinate Before You Graduate is to ensure that all high school students have a chance to be fully immunized before they graduate.
Results / Accomplishments In the 2007-2008 school year, Vaccinate Before You Graduate provided 4,143 shots to over 1,500 students in 69 high schools throughout Rhode Island.
